Pseudo-Liberal Eyes: I Know Them When I See Them

I am referring to the undercurrent of many people in the art world who are patronizing to the people who are the so-called "minority artists" and who think that all of our art is folk art. They pretend that they are liberal; they pretend to understand our literature, our art, our music. But, they don't give us the respect to include us in the mainstream American art world...except when we are put into ghetto categories for their self-promotional needs.
